PAUL V. BENATTI
A graduate of Amherst College and Boston University School of Law, Paul Benatti grew up in Provincetown where he and his wife Pat reside. Both Pat and Paul have served on town boards – the Council on Aging and Community Policing Steering Committee for Pat and the Charter Enforcement Commission and Board of Library Trustees for Paul. A contestant on the televised Science Countdown and Winning Pins programs, Paul’s interest in science and candlepins continues, and he remains a supporter of Common Cause, Greenpeace, and local organizations.
As an attorney at Zisson & Veara since 1978, he performed much of the legal work for the towns of Brewster (30 years) and Truro (36 years). Through both public and private representation and his own board participation, Paul gained considerable experience with the functions and procedures of local government. His other, sometimes overlapping, areas of concentration are civil litigation and appellate advocacy.
Paul was admitted to practice law in Massachusetts in 1978, and he was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States Tax Court in 1979, before the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit in 1980, and before both the United States Claims Court and the United States Supreme Court in 1984. Paul is also a notary public and a member of the Barnstable County Bar Association.
